This Privacy Policy explains how GameGlue ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create a GameGlue account, we collect your email address, username, and any profile information you choose to provide.

Game Telemetry Data: The GameGlue client extracts telemetry data from supported games on end users' computers. This data includes in-game information such as position, speed, altitude, vehicle state, and other game-specific metrics. This data is transmitted to our servers and made available to authorized third-party applications via our API.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you use our services, including API requests, session duration, feature usage, IP addresses, browser type, and device information.

Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve our services

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

4. Data Sharing

With Third-Party Applications: When you authorize a third-party application to access your telemetry data via OAuth2, we share your telemetry data with that application according to the scopes you approved. You can revoke access at any time through your account settings.

Service Providers: We share information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, including hosting (DigitalOcean), authentication (Keycloak), and analytics providers. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GameGlue, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Telemetry Data: Real-time telemetry data is transmitted to authorized applications and is not permanently stored on our servers. We retain session metadata for up to 90 days for debugging and analytics purposes.

Account Data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Usage Logs: Server logs and usage data are retained for up to 12 months.

6. International Data Transfers

Our services are hosted in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to this transfer. We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data during international transfers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data

Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and core functionality. These cannot be disabled.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Secure authentication via OAuth2 and Keycloak
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and/or sending you an email notification. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
